Contemporary Art Centre WINZAVOD with support of Ministry of culture of Russian Federation are to announce photo contest Best Photos of Russia 2008 (Best of Russia 2008)

Best Photos Of Russia 2008 is a Russian contest which aim is to define the best photos of Russia and where every Russian citizen is welcome to participate. A participant’s age or professional skills are not of any importance. The only important rule is that participant's photos have to be about Russia and its daily life.

The chosen 365 best photos of the year 2008 will be published in the annual photo album Best of Russia 2008 and exhibited at the Contemporary Art Centre WINZAVOD in 2009.

The goal of the contest Best of Russia is to discover Russia`s most daring and talented photographers that are able to show authentic images of Russia that are free of an ideological motives and stereotypes, its today`s life, its beauty, history and contrasts. To demonstrate the world every day of our great country pictured by those people who live, work and love here, in Russia. The contest Best of Russia gives any participant an opportunity to share their own vision of Russia with the others by turning visions from their most important life`s moments into total image of the place and time we are re living.
